I may have a hook up for these but I already have them in my Probe & Charger... Would anybody be interested? If so, I can see if I can get a few...

Forgive me for being a little slow, but what is it?
I'm assuming it has to do with the ignition, but not sure if it's a complete replacement or what? What are the bennifits? How much?

the 6al, is an ignition box, also called an ignition timer. it's there to help the ignition in every way that it can... under 3000 rpms it provides multiple sparks to each cylinder hench MSD = multi spark distribution.

what's really cool about ignition boxes is that you can use them to control every aspect of your ignition. for example, i'm going to have a timing computer on my charger. what that's gonna do for me is retard timing 20' while cranking, hence making it easier to start w/my aggressive cam and desire to advance the timing til she knocks. as the rpms increase the timing keeps advancing. most cars do the same thing only on a milder scale (using mechanical or vaccume means)...

probably the nicest part about the msd box for you gt guys is that you don't have to worry about the infamous disty problem anymore... the 6al cures it (afaik anyway ;) ).

oh, another thing that is nice about an msd setup is that you achive a better spark so you can open the plug gap some... this (as well as the above) all helps in the world of combustion and we all know that the better/longer your combustion, the more power you net :D

Cool! I wouldn't mind having one of those just to cure the disty prob. I haven't had any probs with mine yet, but I'm sure I will soon (75000 miles already:( ).

So how hard are these things to put in and what does the set-up cost?

the msd 6al runs about...like $180 or $160 I think? the coils are about $30. It's kind of a bitch to install because it requires a visit to radio shack. :( but well worth it! :)
