I'm all about aesthetics, so I would say go with rims, lowering springs and a fine lookin exhaust, in my opinion those two things make a car look sweet. Well what do you know, those are the main mods that I have for my car!! ;)
but since you posted this in the performance forum you probably want to follow the advice that the other guys have posted: intake, exhaust being the first two.

rims can also add peformance! wider lower profile tire and light rims will make the car handle better and less wieght / mass means more acceleration, and speed
one thing to be ready for is that aftermarket rims that wiegh more or even the same weight but larger will slow you down .
the trick is to lower the "rotating mass" which means if you go larger also go lighter to maintain the same performance.

Yes, fat heavy wheels can slow the car down. Weight is really an important factor when choosing rims. I like the PGT rims so much, I've decided to keep them forever. That, and I don't have a grand to blow on rims.

all i know about our rims is that they weigh too much.
start with exhaust cause it sounds cool. then intake. i like to make cars handle good.(its soo rewarding to drive a car that handels good.) then klze turbo,sc,nitro, etc.... free stuff, make the car lighter.

Well, the car just rolled out of the barn. As for intake, any sugestions? For looks, they aren't an issue yet... Cops -- no problem, they like me...

That is so true, except the GT rims for the 94 look better than for the 97! :D
