Pics from the garage

OK - I have them. Now what? I can't fit them on the web page. I have 1920x1440, 800x600, and 160x120 of all 48 of them. They are number and sorted, each size group in it's own folder. They are ready to go. But I can't fit them on my page, so... now what?

nevermind, sorry. i could handle the bandwidth..just not the space they probably would take up. if you can make the larger resolution pics smaller in file size you may be able to get them all on http://photos.yahoo.com and the site automatically makes smaller pictures. you get 30mb of space there. i have my 30 pictures from the meet there and they only take up 5 mb total.

I have 48 of them at just over a MB each in large format alone, more since they're all in 800x and 160x as well. I think Curt will have to help here. I'll see if I can do a little html table with them and maybe email the whole deal to him to host, he knows how to do that stuff, and we all know he has hard drive space. And he already volunteered!

Let's try this - do you have Morpheus or some similar Gnutella clone? I could put that stuff in a shared folder and let you just grab it. I use Morpheus myself, and I could make sure that they are in my shared folder, and then let you know the title of them so you could do a quick search and download them. I think Kazaa is the same deal if you have that one installed already.

I never got into ICQ, I guess that would work, if I spent some time on it. Or I could make several small zip files and send you several small ones instead instead of just one big one.

We'll figure this out, it shouldn't be very tough. But I think something like Morpheus would be easiest. Hell, I could put everything in there, and everyone could come get their pictures! I have class tonight, and won't be home until 9:30 or so. I can have it set up shortly after that and leave it on until about midnight - does that work?

Once I get home and set it up I'll make a quick reply here to let you know the file name. Either way I'll try emailing again too.

We're smart, we can figure this out.

I zipped them and emailed them to you again tonight, and I also put the zip file in my shared Morpheus folder. It's named " DJB00TPICS.zip ". I also put an mp3 in it called " Coldsweat", it's an old Sugarcubes song, so if the zip dosn't show up in a search, try searching for the other. If you see it from "tracerbullet8" as the user, you found me. Then do a "find more from this user" and you should see your pictures. I'll have the machine on here at least until midnight.

Hopefully the e-mail works, it'd be easiest...

OK, done, I copied it and renamed it, it's in there both ways. I also put the single files in too - try " PGT001.jpg ".

Once you hit any of it, they should all show up searching for more from me.

I just started it again to make sure it picks everything up.

Oh, and even mailing them separately fired all pics back as "file size exceeds fixed limit", so if you don't have any other e-mail addresses, you'll have to get them via Gnutella or wait for Curt. Basically I can't email them to you until you give me a different address.

Look several posts up. Search for the song coldsweat.mp3 or the file PGT001.jpg. The do a "find more from this user or whatever.

When you first get a house, you'll suddenly find you don't have enough money to eat, let alone buy stuff to set up a network.

For 6 months I slept on top of a bunch of blankets, with my sleeping bag unzipped for the cover. I had a lamp and an alarm clock on a milk crate turned upsdide down, and my clothes were spread in neat little piles along the wall (no dresser). I had plastic patio furniture for my kitchen table and chairs, the TV was sitting on the carpet, and the only thing to sit on was some big pillows.

Anyone find my files yet? I wonder what, no let me rephrase that, fucking what is up with that?

that sounds like my friends' apartment they got. they were lucky at first and had some beds to bring with them for in their rooms but nothing else. the tv was on the floor in the living room, absolutely no furniture or table to eat at. since they moved in, they got a kitchen table and chairs for free and they ordered a couch which they still have yet to receive. its cool going over there just because there are no parents ever but it sucks because you're always sitting on the floor.

Once you get 100 posts, go to your control panel and in the Profile, or Preferences tab (one of those or something like that) there is a spot to upload an avatar. The file has to be a certain dimension/size too... I just resized and shrunk mine down till it was accepted.
