when do you plan on going to albert lea again? when you are down there for some other reason i could drive over, i dont think its too incredibly far from Winona. how much would you want for the trade?

i wish i had my car with me but i dont right now. if the car isnt sold in a few weeks and you are going down then let me know, i dont want to put you out of your way to do this. how much is a reasonable price to you for the trade? the seats are fine except for a tear in the left side of the drivers seat.

rebby

well, the car is on ebay... i guess you have 9 days. i'd say $50 would be worth the drive...

How is it overall? Really nice except not starting, pretty nice for an old 100+000 mile car, or kind of old and worn and rusty and needing a few minor repairs?

I know a local person married to a Ford mechanic at a dealership, I mentioned it to her. Doesn't mean anything will happen, but she said she'd think about it. I'm just wondering if it would be an opportunity for them to grab it, fix it, and resell it - or if it was actually nice enough to be someone's primary car. I remember toying with the tranny cooler, but can't remember what kind of shape it was in.

MN Probe GT
01/28/2002, 05:52 PM
well it the tranny would need to be rebuilt or replaced. Getting the engine to work doesn't sound like it should be too big of a problem, but curt can't get it to work. :(

naustin
01/28/2002, 06:27 PM
Actually the tranny is OK. It was repaired, and reinstalled. That's when the whole engine problem thing started.

Eric94GT

i thought lumbar is always a motor that fills something with air???

AspitFire
01/28/2002, 08:54 PM
i think its just a turn style knob that adjusts it

MN Probe GT
01/28/2002, 09:08 PM
Mine is NOT a power seat, but it does have the power lumbar and bolster adjustments. I believe this was standard on all GTs. But I'm not sure. There was an option for full power seats which gave you a lot of control over the seat.

the front seats and the bottom of the rear is an easy swap but what is involved with swapping the seat back of the rear seat?

MN Probe GT

back seats are easy, the bottom part is a piece of foam, that is held in by two clips, then the back seats are just held in by a couple of bolts.

Eric94GT
01/31/2002, 08:52 PM
what about the carpeting on the back of them that is part of the floor in the back?

curt, one last check: are the seats in good condition dirtiness wise?? no spills or cig marks??:)

AspitFire

i think im going to wait on seats now. the weather is bad and im not 100% sure about it. if you still have the car when spring berak (early march) comes then i will look into it again. one leather drivers seat is what i would prefer anyway.

Nick, how much would you be asking for your seats when you sell them? What color are they?

naustin
03/01/2002, 08:16 PM
Well. I'll sell you the back seat right now, which is in perfect condition.

The front passenger seat is in Good condition

The Front Driver seat is slightly worn in a couple of spots, but it is also full power.

So, make me an offer. I'm not going to sell the two front seats until I can afford the racing seats which are not cheap.

If you buy me a racing seat, and give me your old passenger seat, I'll give you all my leather seats (Front driver, Front passenger, and rear bench) and I'll even help you intall them.

You're looking for Black Leather?! Good Luck. It is like finding a 4 leaf clover. It exists, but it is as rare as 3 legged snow lepoard. In fact, it might only have been avalible on European cars, if I'm not mistaken.
