I'm not really going for a big system, but I might get 1 10" sub in the future. Currently I have:
all sony stuff:
CDX-C7850 (cd player-never use CDs.....basically the head unit)
MDX-65 (minidisc changer......that's all I use)
explod speakers in the front and rear

1 factory sub that has been bypassed (pisses me off because the factory sub was just the amount of bass I was looking for) I have asked many times if there is a way to use this sub, but everyone says no.

you actually can use the factory sub i'll show you at the next meet just bring the sub and factory amp

The sub and amp are still in the car. What would one have to do to get it to work? I did use the bypass harness to bypass the amp (the guys that installed the stuff at audio king didn't bypass it, but they gave me the harness) It was really shitty quality and really loud. I then determined that it was being amplified twice. So I bypassed the amp and it sounds very nice now. Just no bass.........:(

I also have problem with the rear speakers. The grilles are bulging becasue the tweeter sticks out so far. I had planned to do something about it, but I didn't know what to do. I took off the rear quarter panel, but I didn't see how I could get it to go back farther than it already was.

you can rear mount the rear speakers to save room and as for the amp and sub test which leads go to the sub from the amp and find out whichleads going into the amp provide the signal
you may have to rehook up the factory amp for the sub and then rewire the fronts and rears directly to the deck

'rear mounting' was something I considered doing, but at the time it didn't seem like it would work. But that was more than a year ago.

All these posts and only 2 systems so far :)

Anyway mine consists of 1 Kicker S15L7 in a 5.0 cube box with a large port.
1 ZR1000 amp that does about 1250 on birthsheet
1 ZR240 amp to push my boston Pro's 6.5
1/0 ga. wire
Moster Cable RCA cables

Now all i need is a car to put it all in :(
Oh well it will be here soon.

You can also get spacers for the speakers as well, not sure how much $ for them though. Put about a 1/4" spacer on the back side of the cutout and the speaker behind it. There's a lot of room, actually, and with the other holes in the metal you can get around behind it to hold it in place while you put the bolts in.

I don't like to list audio stuff out, I used to live in Miami and that's how things got stolen. I don't mind showing it the next time we meet though. It's pretty good, considering it's about 6 years old now.

systems weigh tooo much so i took mine out this what i had dou. premier 600 deck, premier 6 disc changer, alpine dddrive componets, premier 70x2 amp (for componets) no rear speakers. 2 12" mtx 7000's .6 cubes per side thats right 1.2 cubes on the whole. mtx 2300x amp mounted in the passsenger seat( hows that for stealth) 1 farad street wires cap. all monster cable 5.0 stuff. it rattled the hell out of the car even with about $400 in dynomat and spray stuff. best spl with one side of the box leaking and runnin an epicenter(bad for spl) was 140.1 or 140.2 or something like that.

my ears still hurt 130 decibels for 30 minutes leaves the average person 10% def for the rest of there life. :(
