My tint is dark enough that You really can't see in there, especially at night. And, it is never parked anywhere but on campus, and the security around here cruises the parking lot about every 15 minutes.

In the 4 years I've been here, a car has never been broken into in the lots on campus. Once some dudes from MSU ripped off some stereos, but that was in the lot way off campus that isn't lit very well... I never park there.

Private College = Private Property with small 24 hour Police force.

The 6x9s in back are Boston FX Series. They are 2-ways. I've got the same thing in front, except they are 5.25".... What do those cost, new??

I like pics #1,5 and 8. Just use higher quality when you make the pics. up the jpeg quality.

Ok, Here is the one I'm submitting. I resized it directly from the highest resolution I had the pics in. Then I used gimp to adjust the brightness and added a little Unsharpen mask to make it clearer.

This is my favorite road! Curt, when You come back from A.L. You should come to Gac. We can go for a ride and I can show you this road. You can drive. Then I'll follow you up to the cities. If that is cool.;)

In that picture, off to the right and out of the frame, there is a 30 ft. drop down an embankment to the minnesota river. You can see the water. And through the trees, you can also just make out the bluff on the other side and Gustavus on the top of the hill.

The picture below is taken from the overpass behind my car in the pic above. You can make out the guard rail on the corner if you look close.

The bridge in the picture below is over the water of the Minnesoat river, and Gustavus is on the hill in the distance.

ICP - All The Way!

And as far as a Spring Run, that'd be cool. The road is only 10 miles between Mankato and St. Peter. It is a "Minnesota Senic Byway". I could scout a few more secluded highways in the area too...

Yeah, provided that I don't mess anything up between now and June, I should be otta here - Off to the world of work, where bills flow like water, and (if I get a good job) I might acutally have money to mod my car!!

Winona is a good school but I cannot stand it or the small rural town/setting. Mankato seems better, the campus a lot more interesting, and its not downtown like the u of m is.

Isn't Mankato smaller and even more rural? at least in Winona, LaCrosse isn't that far. Now that is a fun town!:smokin:

I dont think anything can be any more rural than Winona. Mankato is more of a city anyway.

Mankato is 75,000 - 90,000 I would guess. Big old down town area with 2 blocks known simply to college students as the Bar-Meuda triangle. 6 bars in about a block and a half.

There is also the Mankato "Midwest Wireless" civic center. There are some pretty big name concerts there once in a while. Usually country singers.

The mall is very nice. Sam Goody is opening a new store there. Mankato is a commerce hub for most of southren Minnesota. People come to that mall from all the little surrounding towns for about 60 miles around it, so it does HUGE buisness. I work there. On weekends, the police has to set-up road cones and direct traffic. Not as if there is anyplace left to park!

Mankato has grown alot in the past few years. Midwest Wireless is HQ there. Lots of nice resturants. Lots of Bars. Lots of shopping. Seem's like that's all the town is, plus MSU.

It is a nice town.:)

02/27/2002, 01:42 PM
yep.. and winona is about 20,000 people and i swear they add the two universities to that number

Mankato kindda sounds like LaCrosse. The only exception is that LaCrosse has the most bars per capita in the US. Something like 360 or so:eek: !
