Yeah it's pretty nice. :D
I just wish the turbo would be a tad bit bigger. ;) It's pretty smooth though, so that's a plus. Now I just have to get my bigger exhaust from matt, and I should be set.

Awesome! Like I said in the other thread, your car is a prime example of what a PGT should be.

Sweet!:smokin: How much did it cost you to do?

Well the 2nd pic cost $450 + stock swap. So we traded my stock exhaust manifold and turbo for his rx7 hybrid turbo and honed exhaust manifold with heat wrap. Not the greatest deal, but it could be worse. hehe The turbo new costs like 750. :O, anyway.
The BOV, and intercooler pipes, msd 6a, 440cc supra injectors and soon to be included exhaust will be about 380. The total got to be a little more than I wanted, but it's going to be so well worth it. :D:D Especially beings I'm saving 300-400 bucks over new. ;)

Thanks for the good words.

 Holy clean engine bay!

How much boost will you be able to run with the new setup?

How do you like the Hallman? An MBC is my next mod but I'm torn between the TurboXs Standard, TurboXs Dual-Stage, Joe-P, and Hallman.

The reason why the engine bay looks so clean is I repainted the valve cover the bright red, instead of the ford red it was painted.
It's pretty dirty under the backside of the motor. I had been leaking oil like crazy, so it's still dirty back there.

I should be able to handle 15psi easy with the way this ecu is programmed, that's what fallguy ran, but I have a set of 440cc injectors to install sometime, and then my guy in FL will send me a new chip to handle them. The turbo should be good up to like 20 psi or so. So we'll see. :smokin:

20 psi.... Kaboom!

 14psi is the max the 2.2L can run, isn't it?? i mean, i don't think the engine can handle much more.
just a thought.:D

If you haven't noticed my signature, my motor isn't stock, so it should be fine. I have more than enough fuel running to the motor with the reprogrammed chip. :D The fuel is the biggest concern with our cars. And I have a set of 440cc injectors that I will install sometime, and have jay b make me another chip to run them. :D

Good luck. I hope it won't blow up. That would really suck! You gots a nice look'n ride!:smokin:

I overlooked it the first time but do you have any problems venting to the atmosphere? People will say they vent with absolutely no side affects while some will say their car stalls out because of it. Personally I vent my HKS and I've noticed a some roughness when getting back on the gas but nothing severe. I imagine the problem gets worse as you up the boost because then you are talking about more air volumes.

By the way, how much power can you push with the 2.2 on completely stock internals?

Stock specs are(i think) 145hp and 190lbs torque. Correct me if I am wrong guys, but I think those are the specs.

I think that's pretty close. But modifying the waste gate or something will apparently give you 200hp+ easily. upgrade the turbo like this guy and bam! a probe that is actually fast!!

You're probably thinking of a boost controller. It doesn't actually modify the wastegate but it does control maximum intake pressure by dictating when exhaust gas will bypass the turbo via wastegate. Take a car, install a boost controller, crank it up to the turbo's maximum efficiency, and you now have more power as long as there is enough fuel to back up the extra air.

no, I've heard of people modifying the wastegate. But a boost controller would be the best thing to use.

Just modding the car a little bit makes them pretty quick.

Very true -- a boost controller is one of the easiest and most significant first mods on a DSM. Standard versions can be had for $50-80 but the coolest ones are the higher dollar dual and triple stage manual or the top of the line electronic versions. These let you adjust maximum boost from inside the car so you can have it set at 9psi let's say for normal daily driving with 20psi just a flip of a switch away -- assuming you can handle it :D
