that's a small picture, but that looks like major damage to me. I wouldn't buy it.

for me i can buy the cab for it and get a front clip for it ... it wouldnt be done this month.. it'd take time to fix it... i got an uncle in the ford dealership that can find me a cheap used cab and got another uncle who does body work for a living...so i got it set all i have to do is produce the money for both of my uncles to do this.. the sport trac runs.... air bag is still intact... but if i get a new or used cab it will come with it... so its not a bad deal for me compare to a used or new one from 15,000 to 30,000 so its a great deal for me...

seems like a good price, but take it from a girlie who's been had with a crashed vehicle...don't buy it unless it's thoroughly inspected...that whole top is smashed completely making me think it was a pretty bad situation...the frame could be fubared.

I know what you mean.. but this place gets repairable cars from all over United States.. my uncle who works body got a 2001 dodge ram Sport from the same place the sport trac is at for 11,000 with a bent frame in the rear with the box damaged... for at 30,000 miles... and that truck came from new york .... it got hit in the rear and bent the driverside frame alittle bit and he straightened it out and put a new box and done... he the one who sent me this email of the sport trac and told me that the frame is straight and the motor runs good and that it was just the body... everything is good except the cab and front bumper, fender and thats it..

I don't care what anyone says, don't mess with a bent frame and be 100% sure it isn't messed up. All I know is I had a car that a dealership had fixed the frame on and it ended up cracking in 10 places a couple of years later. They told me if I'd have gotten in an accident with it I would have been dead. I don't trust crashed cars for that reason...and, no, I did not know the car had been hit when I bought it:)

yea, restraightened frames aren't going to be as sturdy as it once was, and like heather said make damn sure that frame isn't bent!
just my 2 cents on this one

ahhhh!! never thought of it that way!! (hope he doesnt ask me for money for that thought!) still i would have to put the money into the cab and repair and sell it for 10,000 or more... i mean at 30,000 miles... its pretty low.. i'll check out Kelly's blue book and find out what the price for it... thanks Nick for another greatful thought...

I would guess you could get 15-18 grand for that after it was fixed.

Hmm... You *could*, however it will always have the salvage title and won't be worth much. Even if you did sell, if some poor kid bought it and ended up in an accident, get mangled, seems like it could come back to you or the shop for doing shoddy repairs. (And they could be the best repairs in the world, but you couldn't prove it, because the saddened jury would give all the money to the mangled kid)

Long shot, but - if you don't plan on keeping it, I can't see how it's worth the work. Your time spent has to be worth something too.

Of course, I'm not a lawyer!

I forgot about the damn salvage title. That will surely hurt you unless someone isn't smart enough to look at the title first, which is possible.
