I did this a really long time ago, but I never got around to posting the pics. Most of you know about my flat floor mod. Well, I finally got around to reinstalling the interior body panels. This, of course, required cutting the bottom of the panels so that they would fit over the floor.

Sorry I don't have a pic with everything installed yet. I'm working on it. :)
cool, yea i was thinking about gutting my six, but it would look odd with that big gaping hole going into the trunk where the rear seat would be, ahh the disadvantages of not owning a Hatchback

So, after all that work... Now what?

umm.... carpet and vinyl. Maybe a 10 in the tire well. Lots of cargo space.

Can you even get to the spare tire well - easily, that is?

not at the moment. I have to remove all the body panels and them take up 8 screws and pull out half of the floor. Hence, I figured the spare was useless anyway. ;-)

Yeah, when ever I drive anywhere I feel like I'm really living on the edge...
No licence
Four bald tires
No spare
And burning oil like a Saudie Sheik.

I have dynomat in my damn hatch and it makes it so heavy that my stupid hydraulic is hosed. I actually have the back of my back seats cut out for amps in there...but I never actually went full blown on a stereo system:( I think it looks like you are doing a nice job. Don't sweat having no spare...the WRONG spare came with my car *found that out the hard way* and I never went to a junk yard or anywhere to get a new one. No jack either...*that was wrong as well*...hehe, I guess it isn't anything to laugh about.

I've often thought about the full blown stereo route. There is no doubt that the back end now lends itself to that route, but I don't think I will. I still remember how much quicker the car felt without the subs... I suppose that this is the same reason you didn't go the full stereo route. ;-)

Actually, that is exactly why I didn't go that route. Every other car I had I was basically the bass queen in. I considered getting a 2nd battery for just the stereo stuff, but all the extra crap and weight just wasn't going to be worth it. My stereo now is sucko...I hate it. I installed speakers in the front last summer, but that's about it. I was going to do the back, but I never bought anything to replace them...maybe this summer I'll do it.

I bet your stereo is better than mine right now. ALL my speakers are in varying state of Blown-ness. The front left makes little scratching sounds, that is it. The front right only has the tweeter left. The back right is fine, I think the back left only has the woofer left.
I leave it off because it sounds like all the sound is comming from the back right speaker, which basicall it is.

When I had a truck, I just got the regular truck speakers for behind the seats and they worked pretty damn well...I was satisfied with that for sure...just get nice ones...

Gosh I wish I still worked at Best Buy, where markup on car audio equipment is MASSIVE. Speakers were SO cheap, even though they weren't always the best quality...I could get a sub, play the hell out of it until it blew, and take it back for a new better one. Those were the days. I just can't afford this stuff now!

You should put your probe's stereo in your Truck before you sell it.

I love my stereo. I could not go with out it. I know it weights a ton, but I just got to have it. I have not had a spare in my car for 4yrs. now, and only once I needed it. That was a fiasco!! Nick, e-mail me. I might be able to get your spkrs. replaced for free.
