My old man offered to sell his Mustang to me ('89 5.0, 52,000 miles) for about $400 less than I paid for my 93 PGT with 102,000 miles. I'm so torn. Winters would suck, and the gas milage wouldn't be as good, but that car is in really good condition. I think I'll save money on maintenance (it feels funny saying that about a Ford) since there are a few things I need to take care of on the Probe. Opinions?

'93 Probe GT, MTX, 106,000 miles v. '89 Mustang 5.0, MTX, 52,000 miles?

Buy the mustang. Winters would only suck on the days it snowed. Once the roads are plowed, no problem...

If it is in REALLY good shape, make the Probe your winter beater. ;)

and if you do, lemme know. I know a couple people who have cheap winterbeaters for sale.

You can get some mad power with some mad mods in those 5.0s

The Mustang's been sold... congrats Kirk.

Just kidding. But it is gone, so I'm sticking with the Probe, and I'm happy with my choice. Thanks for the input though.
