Ok, so I have been reading alot about unsprung weight and how it is good to have light weight wheels and all that good stuff. But I never really wanted my car to be "all out speed," I really want good style too. So I thought of an idea, and wanted to know if anyone has seen this, or if it would look bad or what...
like 15 or 16" wheels in the front,
and than put 17 or 18" in the back.
This would give me the lighter unsprung weight on the wheels that have power going to them and the style that I am also looking for.

Actually people do that for a specific look, but it has nothing to do with weight...LOL
If you're worried about weight, get lightweight rims....if your worried about looks get fancy rims, if your worried about both, get out your credit card. ;)

What ^ said. Me personally, given it's within reasonable comparisons, I'll take style over weight. I did compromise somewhat though by going with 17" versus 18" so I saved some performance loss. The chrome is sure pretty though.

Just buy some lightweight biggins. They're not hard to find and come in like 18s. Look in the back of car mags. Sometimes they're cheap to buy too, what with tires packages and sheeet.

That's true. 3 or 4 years ago, it would have been a grip load of money but, nowadays you can find good deals on out of production or overstock lighter weight rims and prices on tires have gone down on 17+ inchers too. I remember that it cost 600 dollars to have tires put on back than on 17 inch rims that weren't even anything that special:no: Now, many newer cars are using 17" and 18" as standard so there's more of a demand for companies to produce them=lower prices=

Yep. The only prob is that a lot of those older lightweights have some rather ugly looks to them.
Way off topic but did anyone see these 30 inch rims that just came out? Dang, ma; those things looks schwee-at.
