I have a friend with an Eighteen wheeler that is going to tow a car for me. The problem is that we don't have a ramp to drive the car on to the trailer. Does anyone know a place that rents ramps or has a good Idea of what we can use to drive the car onto? He thinks some 2X4 or 4X4 will work, but I think the Probe is too heavy for that to work.

How high is the deck of the trailer. Generally, when I have them hauled in on a flatbed semi trailer, I use a pair of 2x12's and use them to bridge the height difference from the trailer to the deck of my rollback. Often, I still end up have to brace the with spacers or they'll bow and snap when the car rolls across them.

:wtf: That sounds scary to me. I hope you're trying to move a parts car because that might be all it's going to be if the ramp snaps. I don't have a solution off the top of my head but I'd be a little worried doing it with just a couple 2x4s fore sure, or even 4x4s.

There's a nice ski jump by my house if all else fails. If olympic skiers can go 100+ meters off the jump, I'm pretty sure that a probe can get enough air to be able to get inside an 18 wheeler:lol:

This is what I'm talking about. Maybe not the ramp you had in mind but....it should work:tup:
