who here has 1st gen probe? does anyone have 2g gt rims on there probe? ever seen one? the chrome ones...I want to see a pic....

I have an 89GT and a set of 2G 93GT wheels, although they arent on. To use the stock 2G tire size (225/50-16) you need to get a spacer for the rear wheels, or bash the strut perches in, as they will rub in the rear. Fronts should be fine. Youd need to scale down to a 205 or 215/50-16 or 225/45-16 to get the tires to fit perfect all the way around. A 1G does look sweet with 2G GT wheels on it. Gives it a meaner, wider looking stance from the front and rear.

Not really any pics. Ive never installed mine. Ill find teh MNPOC pic with (ahem) Bobbys car, which is an 89GT that had 2G rims on it.

I've seen 95-97 alloy swirlies on a 1st gen Yellow (of all colors) probe. Looked a'ight-probably a lot better than the stock 1G rims.
