We went today and traded in our Jetta (sob sob) and Focus. We ended up getting a 2006 Chevy Equinox with 9,400 miles on it. We have wanted a bigger vehicle for a while, especially with a dog so that we can put her in the very back...since I have a company vehicle now we really didn't want 2 car payments anymore. I went in thinking we'd have no problem getting my Jetta traded in but huge problems owing more on the Focus than what it's worth. It ended up being the opposite situation, but it all worked out in the end. Here are a few pics...

Kinda reminds me of the Buick, Rendevous that my mom and dad owns.

I'm sure if you try hard enough you could find a body kit for it:lol:

Nice ride, Heather

Nah, no sunroof. This is kind of our 'intro' SUV. We'll do nicer down the road I'm sure. This is going to be our money saving time since we'll be moving to Madison:)

AWD or FWD? 4clinder or 6?

Looks great... what did you end up paying for it (Just curious... most of the time Ive noticed equally equipped Saturn Vues go for the same price if not cheaper, and they;re the same vehicle other than the Saturn has the more reliable V6...)

we paid $15,995. i've heard way too many negative things about Saturns lately. FWD, V6.

Um, the Equinox and the Vue are one and the same, other than the 3.4L GM V6 in the Equinox (Which is one of the furthest things from reliable).

Good buy anyways. Pretty great price...

Well so far no complaints. Considering how many times my Jetta ended up in the shop I'm not too concerned. We are covered under warranty up to 99,000 miles so we'll likely drive this thing into the ground.

As far as my comment on Saturns, it has been the cars I've heard bad things about so I was saying 'Saturns' as a group.

Yeah the cars are junk. The Vue's are so reliable because they have the 3.5L honda V6 in them... things run forever...

But hopefully you dont have any problems with it... I really havent heard of too many problems with the AWD system either, so thats a plus:thup:
