When you pull, you also have to twist it a little back and forth. (Or maybe its stuck in gear? Try moving the shifter linkage around while pulling and see if that helps)

I pushed, pulled, smashed and anything else in anydirection, I also tried every gear and it still wouldn't budge.

Alright guys.. I finally got it! I had to smack the shit out of it with a rubber mallet, I wont lie I used a steel one too  But I finally got it... Now to get the rest of the stuff off and swapped onto the new engine.. PHEW!!

Cool... now you just have the task of hooking the tranny up to the new motor:lol:

Haha, Yeah hopefully from this point on, the rest of the swap goes quick and has the least problems!

You ever get that pickle-fork unstuck from the balljoint?
Make sure you get a clutch alignment tool also before you put that together. It will make life 10x easier.

Hey good job on making it this far, hopefully you have it running fast, maybe you won't want a f-body anymore. I bet you can't wait to try and fire it up for the first time, with the clutch foot shaking away. Just remember to double check everything as it goes back in. Coolant lines, electrical connections, the ground on the motor mount yada yada yada, you really don't want to have to tear some stuff apart because you forgot to hook up the coolant lines under the tb or whatever. Good luck, let us know how it goes

Ahah, progress! Good to hear it. I remember when I did the mtx conversion that there were a couple bolts I missed, but found them eventually.

Haha. Yeah, hopefully I can get farther and farther now every day after work.
Defiler, I haven't even tried to get it off yet  I'm going to swap the crap onto the new engine and get that stuff done then I'll go back to gettin that damn thing off.

It wont let me edit my post? I think I'm out of the F-body Phase, as I'm all for a bike again.. And hopefully I can get financed for this SV650 I found at hitching post!

Thats actually going to be his biggest chore. We had to cut a lot of the lines because the clamps were seized. So he's going to have to replace a bunch of them, and remembering what went where is going to be a PITA.

Just as a preventive maintenance measure, assuming that the parts are rather old, you should probably take the time to change the water pump and timing belt at the very least while you have the engine out. (consider the clutch as well) It will save you time and knuckles from having to fix these things if they ever go out on you when the engine is already back in the car. Also consider the head gaskets. I'm regretting that I didn't do the head gaskets before I put the ZE in this last summer because they're leaking like mad now:Pissed: I know that money is probably an issue, but ANYTHING mentioned above will save you from lots of headaches if they ever fail once the engine is put back in already.

Oh yeah, those are all on the list to be replaced.. Just trying to decide on a decent clutch is my problem now.. Any input on a good, but not wallet breaking clutch?
Also Thinking about putting new Exhaust headers too.

Findanza flywheel is something that could probbaly be the next best thing for your performance end of and upgrade. Just go on ebay and order one, they range from like 250-350 depending on where you get one. This is the next mod to go into my car.

I dont think he has 300bux to throw at just a flywheel
But he could get his lightened at a machine shop or resurfaced for pretty cheap.
Good and wallet-breaking go hand in hand most of the time. The cheap ones like Exedy are hit-and-miss with a lot of people. As long as you arent going to be doing a lot of racing with it, and OEM should suffice.

I thought I saw someobody that had a really good deal on PT.com on a clutch, MX3 FW combo. TravisWilliamsGT I think.
Those rubber tubes and hoses get real brittle over time. I would probably try to replace them too. Yeah those clamps are a serious pita, I was at the junkyard this morning and had plenty to pull off. Its way easier to cut them off. I think we pulled off 3 v6 intake manifolds and rear valve covers in a little under an hour. I remember the first time taking one off it took me hours, today it took about 10 minutes to get it off. Morale of the story, everything gets easier with time, don't rush yourself with getting the engine in or you will be hurting big time
sk8phreak88

Yeah I seen the combo that Travis had on probetalk, but I think it's sold already.. I did shoot him A PM though.

Definitely do those now if you ever plan on doing them. I did mine while it was out and looking at it now, I don't even see how it would have been possible to do it any other way. I'm sure it can be done, but those rear headers would have been a nightmare if I didn't do it then.

Meh, the rear header wasn't too hard. It was the screwing around with the EGR tube that was a PITA. Mainly, the stock one was in a bad spot for a wrench, and it was rusted in very bad. Then I had to tweak and retweak the Hotshot tube to fit properly, but I eventually made it all fit.
(Do it while it's out though, it will be so much easier.)

That is a sticky/sucky dilemma to be in. I was fortunate enough to be able to take my time so It took me about a month from engine out to in again.

I did headers with the engine in the car. Its not so bad

Yeah it really sucks, I think I'm going to decide to just fix all the maintainance stuff. (Water pump, belts, TBT. ect.) and then build up from there. Plus now that I've taken it out once, it'll just get easier and easier from here to take it out. NOt taking a whole fucking day again. :Grr:
