ok. so now, i need to get the COLD air intake that will go under the fender. AND i need to purchase a (i think it was a AEM bypass valve that will keep water out of the engine) as soon as possible. so now my question is can i get these two things for ,idk, cheap, cuz quite frankly, i dont want to waste 150-180$ on one from probe addiction.

also as soon as i get it, ill be sending out calls to greatness(help) to put it in and we can prolly haave the meet there

I guess you missed the most prominent advice here. Ebay. You can get a $40 cold air intake. You can get the bypass valve if you want, I never had one and I had my filter damn near the ground. As long as you dont drive into a small lake you should be fine, just drive smart.

thats like a 15 min install. You plug the sensors into the VAF, the only part from the existing stock intake setup you would keep, so you will still have the peice to hook them up to, its very simple really, any of the RPOC guys should be able to hanlde it.

I took the downpipe off of mine for the winter. You can do either/or with these intakes. I have the identical one.

N/A cars do not have down pipes. They are called a "y-pipe", it's what connects the manifolds/headers to the exhaust.

Just never mind about the down pipe thing. Just buy the damn thing, and we will explain later.

lol mitch. All he means when he says downpipe is the pipe that goes from the VAF to the filter on the CAI. You can take that pipe off in the winter and hook up the filter straight to the VAF, to avoid snow and ice and shit in teh bad weather.

AEM Bypass Valve. Thats the technical word, I'm pretty sure you can get one through Summit Racing. Google the website, I'm not positive on what it is right now.

The guys I've met, I can joke around with because I've hung out with most of you a couple of times AND I KNOW YOUR JOKING. :p But the guys that don't I don't know/met, it does annoy me, because I have no clue as to who they are, other then a sn.
