If you're getting money back, you're doing it wrong.

Agreed. Its pretty much like the government is taking out an interest free loan from you!

That said, I'll be getting money back lol.

Eh, i like getting money back.

I figure the little more i would see on my paycheck each month would be waisted in something stupid. If i get a bigger amount at the end of the year, i feel like i will put it towards something better, possibly savings, or something I've wanted for a while.

Exactly! IE, I would have never saved up enough to buy the fairings for my bike. I would have eventually just used the 400 bucks out of one of my checks on a payday friday. Which then leaves me with only another 450 for two weeks. And I blow alot of money way to fast.

 CAM!? Where the hell you been? Where in blaine you buying your house? We'll have to meet up some time this summer for sure. I've decided to keep the probe and get it all together.... Finally. For real this time. :D lol

thats the only reason i MAKE sure i get money back, last year i bought a sled with it, this year i have to live off of it, i should really pay off some debt but that'll wait...i dont look at it as getting money back i look at it as the government simply being kind and giving me a check, if i really analyzed what there doing with it and realized its what i've already earned I'd go insane they take that much from me...i live in a fantasy world when it comes to taxes and government BS. keeps me sane.

Just so you know, and no offense to clients/employees of H&R Block or similar services:

The Rapid Refund [anticipation] loan (or similar named service) is a total rip-off, if you think about it. Basically, they charge you around 150-250% interest on the "loan" they give you. Just file your own taxes and get 'cho loot, or if you need to have them do it, be patient for the refund--it doensn't really take that long to get to you.

Just my 2 cents.

Yup. They tried to sucker me into that one year, and I told them to suck a fatty.

I still go to H&R Block to get my taxes done, but I just choose the option where I wait the 2-3 weeks for my checks to come in the mail. That way there's none of that interest bullshit, but I still am not stuck doing my own taxes:)

The other half will be into my money guzzling whore of car to get fixed up ... tranny begining of march, headers end of march, exhaust beginging of april, then all thats left is body stuff... :)
