Anyone ever owned on of these? I am looking at a little car that gets good gas milage and is really small so its loud as shit with a system. If any one knows of one for cheap, let me know. Any advice on the purchase?

I had a friend who owned a geo metro--he put rims on it and drove it to the ground delivering pizza. Cheap maintanance back than, but I don't even know if they make parts for it anymore...
Never heard of a 'Poon-tiac' Firefly.

Ive never owned a metro, but Ive owned a little Mazda 323. Great on gas mileage, and a fun little car to fuck around in:lol:
i owned a metro, reliable car, But, they have been known to have problems with the frame rusting in half, so watch out for that.
the firefly is only in canada and mexico i believe, very rare to see one in the states.

How about a Suzuki Swift? Same shit different pile.
Also have you seen the prices of Metros now? Way too high for what they are lol. Some were going as high as $7,000 on eBay
go with a festiva imo, at least they can get out of their own way.

The metro with the 3 cylinder is still probably the best gas mileage for a car.

Yeah they are way over priced, I am just looking for a cheap car to put-put around in so I can get the PGT back in top shape. Ill look into the festivas, sound pretty baddass to me.

Just get a Saturn SL1 or a Dodge Neon. Still get 35-40mpg, but are bigger and have 4 doors. Or even a Ford Escort.

my family has been through a few escorts, there really good runners..usually got about 35-40 with the 5 speed there really reliable. i wouldn't go with a neon but then again my entire family is very anti dodge.

That car wasnt worth $2k when it was brand new:rolleyes:

Probably in the $500 range, which is what all the POS 4banger economy cars are worth (but just because gas prices are rising, a $200 metro is worth 2k now... )

I saw an article on CNN where they found someone that paid $7,000 for an old geo metro on ebay because of the gas mileage.

Yeah a small manual 4 banger or 3 in some cases. 500 or so is the price range. Something small so when I put one of my many systems lying around in it, they are loud as shit.

I think that is the best deal you will find for a metro right now with gas being so incredibly high

my friends got a like 88' Honda Prelude with 188k miles for $400. Needs $200 exhaust, which he has, so $600 installed. No pics.
