Mah New Ride

Last I picked up my new high school/college car. Its a 2001 Taurus SES black in color. Its got 164,000 miles and some body damage in the rear but for 1900after taxes it seems like a good deal. Ill post some pics of it later if I have the time. Anyone know of wheel adapters to go from the taurus 5x108 to the probe 5x100 or whatever they are?

If the tranny hasnt been replaced before, prepare to have to do it before 200k.

Umm. If I'm understanding what you're trying to ask, You want to be able to put probe pattern (5x114.3 aka 5x4.5) rims on a Taurus (5x108 aka 5x4.25) right? The answer to the above is yes, they make adapters. It's essentially a wheel spacer that is studded with the new pattern. Here's a link to what you're looking for. If you look around, you'll probably find them for cheaper than this site though.

It will look something like this. Keep in mind that your wheels will stick out further too once you put these spacers/adapters on so order them in the appropriate thickness.

I am just debating painting the stockers cause they have new tires on them or getting adapters for the bullets and having less than half tread tires on it.

Go with the stockers; they arent too bad of rims themselves.
