my dad is such a pro at replacing the timing belt and water pumps on audi a4 and a6's 1999 and up(or audi's with the same engines) he can tackle that job in 3 hours from start to finish. mitchell on demand says its 6.5 hours to replace. he will do it affordably too.

if anyone has one that doesn't want to do it themselves, let us know.

he is also the head mechanic of the bargain lot in wayzata. 33 years under his belt:tup:

No thanx, Ill take mine to a respectable shop, like one that warranties their work and has authorized and trained VW mechanics, not some po-dunk hick that says he knows how to do them.

i figured most of you wouldn't even touch that foreign shit so i am offering.

the parts put onto the engine are warrantied through the parts store we buy from.

he can replace head gaskets on cadilac northstar 32V engines (basically replacing the engine because it comes out anyways) and replace engines in gmc envoy or chevrolet trail blazer.

certified to work on all lexus and gm vehicles too.

i am not bragging. i am trying to get my dad work for winter time. he can't mow lawns in the winter can he???

No, we're not ignorant and racist like you, so we dont decide what cars we want to work on based on where its from:rolleyes:

Who gives a fuck if the part is warrantied. That isnt going to help me when the belt snaps and fucks up the entire valvetrain and head, now is it? Or when you forget to tighten something and the same happens? Didnt think so.

Nobody cares what he can do, and yes, you are bragging. And if you think anyone is going to give him work after listening to you, then you're dead wrong. He raised you, and I wouldnt trust him on my car after knowing that...

fuck this again.

you obviously don't know what it takes to take an engine out of an envoy or a cadilac car. i helped him several times. they are both 24 hour jobs.

anyone want a free rear sway bar with broken links attached?

No, you obviously dont know that there are MILLIONS of other mechanics that can do the same. Just because the people in your area wont waste thier time with it, it doesnt mean they A) cant do it or B) your dad is the only one who can do it.

Car work is fucking simple as hell as long as you know left=loose and right=tight, and then know how to make sure you put everything together the same way you took it out. Tools are the only thing that stop people form doing things.

The fact that you can work on cars is a testament to the fact that even a blind monkey can work on a car.
