ok guys which cold air intake should i get...i dont want it to drop all the way down by the slash guard cuz i dont wanna suck up any water..also did you guys see that actricle in the the march issue of scc?? it talked about that air bypass thing that you can put on your intake so when water is ingested it wont go in your engine??i also would wish to addapt one of these to it (maybe)..but anyway i would like to know what you all think about them....

It's made by AEM. You know......the big honda company. It's a quality product. I got it from a bulk buy at groupbuycenter.com $40 3" one is a good pick.

if you go to www.nopi.com
and order a "reactive heat sheild filter"
(basicly a K&N with a neat shroud to reflect heat (3"))
I can make you one like a PRM you can see mine this weekend
seems like all is a go
I get off work @ 2:30 on sat so I will be just in time to change and start probetuning;)

Well, I have the HotShot and I've never had a problem.
Rain and snow are no match for the HS!!!
If you are concerned about water, I'd go PRM, but I've driven in rain and snow storms with no sign of trouble. I bought a shorter K&N so it really doesn't hang below the splash guard.
As for performance gains, I was definintely impressed. Much better sound and throttle response--which I think I lost with the Flowmaster, but thats a different post!

less than fifty bucks to save you engine buy it now. reman probe engine-$4000  used engine $800, klze because american dollar has lost some value min 1500. ractive filter is a good ideal but i dont like the was the look. i used a honda acord set up i know sounds weird and requires relocation the batt. its not done yet but so far it works good. it needs a heat sheild. i did this most cause i wanted some thaing different. inconclusion buy what you want and wht you pocket allows just my opinion though
