Tonight after i dropped of my g/f at her house my car had lots of potential. I dunno what the hell it is but i was shifting in the gears like nothing. 3rd gear was very strong and powerful. I was wondering what the hell is making my car do this and why now. Ever since I did that burnout at the meet its like wow, a new car to me just with bald tires.hehehe.

I know exactly what it is!!!:p Before the burnout you drove like a granny and you had all of that carbon buildup in your motor, and now that you did that burnout you blew all of that shit out and that is why your car is running so damn good. :p :p :p

I know mine's all clean. Regular burnouts to keep the carbon down, but not too excessive like his. Gotta love the burnout.

I notice that after my car has been sitting for an hour or two (during the night when colder) it does pretty good when started again. Probably because the engine isnt completely cool and there is cold air in the engine compartment. I should get a CAI

I've got everything figured out for my CAI, but I need some black ABS piping and I want it painted red. But darin (bigprobe on PT) made one like this so well. I want him to make me one (for a price of course) But I think he ignores me.

I've noticed that same thing too. It seems like some days my car has a punch of power in the low RPM range and other days it is struggling. It doesn't seem to be temperature related either.

Anyone have a vauum tester thing? I want to test the vacuum pressure to see if there is a leak.

I know that one of my vris solinoids is bad. its the one that opens in the low rpms. maybe its working sporatically and this is why you and i have times of power. i'll have to goto mazda for a new solinoid, ford cant find it in their computer, they never can. anybody know the part number off hand or in a shop manual they have?

omg are you kidding me? This is like the first thread ever. An intake isn't really my biggest concern with the car right now. But thanks anyway. :)
