My oil gauge reads on the AL of NORMAL and i check the dio stick and its at the top. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or is it normal?

the stock gauges are shit but... your oil pump could be going... i'm not sure where the GT gauge should read...

My 94 GT is usually right in the center. When I am driving Castrol GTX it is usually a little higher. On hard accelerations it is also higher but then goes back to the normal area. I wouldn't be concerned unless it gets really low, its in normal isnt it?

Yeah its in the normal. Today its was actually at the middle than dropped once i got driving it. Again I checked the dipstick and full. Bit of oil leakage like i said before but i dunno know its one the tranny.

I think an old PT poll showed everyone's gages read low. The 93's had a dynamic gage that moved around a lot, the later ones were just sort of like on / off switches, that is they never budged.

Everyone's read low on the 93's, and no one ever had problems.

It's easy for a shop to do a pressure check, they just undo a fitting above the filter and screw the gage in and read it. Should be cheap if you go that route, and would ease your mind for good...

My engine runs in the "A L" area when idling, it moves up when moving. I was curious one day and I tryed pulling off the oil filler cap and the engine started to stall (probably lost pressure) so I put it back on and all was well. Maybe your cap is cracked or something? Are your VC gaskets bad at all?
