Well, As I mentioned in another thread, I was board.

I decided to work on my car. I took out my subs, all the rear body panels, and the flat floor I built, and the door panels. It's as stripped out inside as it has ever been.

Now, I have two choices, (1) install all that dyna-mat I bought, the new speakers, all the interior peices modifying them so they don't rattle, and the subs again - or - (2) remove the front seats, strip out the front carpet, paint the whole interior flat black, buy a couple of light weight racing seats and enjoy the car rallie style.

It's a tough call, especially after I just went for a ride and the car is so light that when #2 VRIS opened in second gear, my head jerked back a little.:eg:

Anybody wanna buy a bunch of stereo equipment?

Me neither. I taped 3 movies this afternoon before I was like, "I should be working on my car". By then of course it was fricking cold, so I had to go get a six pack before I started. :D

I have relatives coming tomorrow, otherwise I'd say you should come over!

Reunion? YOu mean the April meet? You better be there, you're by far the closest member! Hey, do you know anything about working on cars? Being a moderator dosen't mean I know jack about mechanicking, and I really want to install the sway bar Vdubb sold me.

By "reunion" I mean that family get together your having tomorrow (well, today) And HELL YEAH I'll be at the meet (unless I get a migrane, of which there always is a possibility) and three, I wish. I'm so inept I can't do a damn thing.

go rally style. you could just buy some cheap, flexible indoor/outdoor carpet to make it look less honda-ish. as for seats, theres a guy by my house who runs a performance shop, mostly porsche stuff, but he carries a ton of safety equipment as well. i found some sparcos there for a little over 100 dollars:eek: he also cuts deals to people he knows on the harnesses and brackets. but check this out, kinda ugly but for 70 bucks ... also check summit they always have good deals

That's kinda how I'm leaning right now, but I've been thinking about how to cover up or improve the looks of all that damn wiring inside. I think cheapo carpet would be worse than bare metel. I might just spraypaint the whole interior with some heavy duty flecked matte paint, including all the wiring harnesses...

a friend of mine owns RHINO LINING out in Rapid city... that shit is the best... you can have how ever much thickness you want and you can make different colors.. he had one done on a truck.. with red floor with black zebra stripes on the bed of the truck.. on a black dodge ram sport.. it was KICKASS.... used to be in sioux falls and CHEAP i might add.. but they moved to rapid bc the business is ALOT better out there and the weather is soo FUCKed up that those rhino lining does make a difference... but i would do it to my hatch back to cut the distortion from my bass.. then lay the dynomats on top of that would REALLY help... but the lowest price for my hatch would of been 80.00 to 100.00 thats it... bc its not.. a BIG ass truck bed...

Too bad Rapid city is damn near a full day drive for nick. I drove out to Montana last summer. Driving through South Dakota is HORRIBLE!!!! I hate to say this. But I had a better time driving through NORTH DAKOTA!!??!?!?

I vote for #1. I'd enjoy a car much more with the interior intact.

(those pics i posted is 30 minutes of where i live and its not bad with winding roads to speed when YOU know theres No HYPO's!!) now i live in sioux falls which i am 15 minutes from the minn borderline... so i if i want to escape SD.. i'll go to the minn borderline then wait 5 minutes and go back to Su Fu.... ... now that dont sound right...

Yeah, I can't decide. It has a lot more road and exhaust noise this way, but Alot less annoying rattles and squeeks from the interior plastic rubbing and vibrating. I'm thinking about flat aluminum door panels with custom door handles and window switches inside to give it a more finished look - maybe I'll still dynamat it too. It would be quiet as hell then. Shrug. I don't want to leave it as is, but I don't want that cheapo plastic back in there either.

Maybe I'll do the custom door panels, and then dynamat the bare metel in back, getting the aluminum as smooth and finsihed looking as possible, and then see how that looks. :idea

My whole interior would be aluminum....

Put everything back, so it's comfy to drive in - being your only car and all. Then, get a ZE in it. Best of both worlds!

If you do decide to race it, don't screw around with it, just do it. But have another car, because you're going to have it broken a lot...

the only problem with so much out would be noise i would htink..

if you get rid of the flat floor, i'd take it off your hands for a price. i really would like to do that, but basically suck when it comes to being creative.
