pacesetter will cost you about $150... i think that it is a 3 piece design...

in the meantime... get some exhaust pipe tape or something...

or.. if you just need the pipe between the cat and the muffler.. mine is @ jeremy's house (unless he tossed it)... u can have it... i'm not sure if it will fit though???

i think that the pacesetter is stainless steel and that it is mandrel bent... u might want to call Nopi (or somebody else that carries it) to be sure though...

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the pacesetter is aluminized steel, and I don't think that will rust.

pace setter is alumadized steel. it will rust but only if it scrapes the ground or rusts from the inside out. also mufler looks and sounds fine to me. i bought my muffler cause i like dtm style mufflers. also greddy is like 600 and it comes with the same 2.5 inch mandrel bent pipes. and in my opinion probes with open pipes are still way less loud than all the chevys with duals

your car cant be that loud. my truck with a 454 and open headers that was loud.

thanks for all your feedback ..i will be ordering the pacesetter here soon...did you guys order it from nopi?? im not saying my car is louder then some trucks with dual exahust or anything i am just saying it is loud cuz i am pretty sure it broke before the cat...so pretty much after the headers there isnt anything in its way...but anyway..how long did your order take mike??? I really dont like the pacesetter muffler i..dont like the yellow in the tips so thats why i would get a new muffler...

hey kirk, where did you use the lift to put the exhause on?

If this summer I bought a borla exhaust, hi-flow cat, and headers, how long do you think it would it take me to put them on if I had access to a lift. I might be able to use the one at a friend's work.

What about on just jack stands :( ?

Deleted what post?

Those pics were taken at EP transmission (chris carlsons dad owns the place or something) Jack stands would really suck. And we needed to use air tools to get the cat bolts off.

You should check and find out where it broke... Mine stock exhaust busted right in front of where it went into the muffler. If that's the case, you're in for an easy repair (by the way, if you buy a cat-back system you can do it yourself - just some bolts - even easier than a valve cover (and much bigger bolts too!)

If it actually did bust before the cat - then anything you replace after the cat will make no difference.... And that piece before it is what you should be replacing. I don't know specific numbers, but I'll bet that piece isn't cheap...

Make sure you know what is busted before you spend money fixing it, know what I mean?

I know, gtting back on topic again...

removing the stock exhaust was not easy for me. I had to saw it in half because the bolts were rusted so bad. I had to use an impact wrench to get the cat bolts off. wasn't fun. And it was on a lift too. Still probably easier than valve covers though.....
