The intake is a prelude intake, i bought the pipe from Area 51 and cut it to fit, i couldnt fit the tb-vaf elbow because of my battery in the way though, it still looks nice i think.
Yeah i really want to go to rack falls, ecept i dont have a helemt, or a battery tie down. my stock tie down is...well its just not there for some reason. ive never been to a "meet" before, and i dont even know if thats what it is, or just rock falls, but ill probally be going if i find a helemt and stuff, and how to get there and all that.
but thanks for the compliments!

nice ze, and about rock falls, I've only been there once so i dunno if they got any more strict but I went on an imports day and all I had was a helmet, they didn't care about the battery or anything else so you should be fine and if they give you crap be like hey I drive it crazy on the street and it has never fallen out what makes you think it will happen now, thats the way it was designed to be it doesn't need a tie down

Cool, always loved the ZE.
I actually saw you (the body kit was a give away) on 94 the other weekend, headed north out of downtown. I was going to wave but since I was in an Eclipse and not a Probe, I figured you'd be all confused.

Alright sounds cool, i guess i could head there with you guys. I think im still going to go try to find the stock battery hold down though, because im sure its not too good for my battery bouncing around on every bump i hit since my car is so damn bouncy.
so there are quite a few people on this board going to rock falls than i take it? sounds cool!
low riding does that.. i can imagine some girl with big boobs riding in there... i see it with HONDA ricers around here that throw their cars to the pavement. "shake that thang miss anne bella"

Yeah man periods help out alot.
But i paid 1145 shipped for my motor from NoyanUSA and 550 for the install of it. and around 300 or something for the SouthBend Clutch DXD clutch. so overall the price was pretty cheap from what ive heard of others getting ze swaps done. and its just a used motor out of some car in japan.

well.. speed bumps are a ricer's worst enemy...
on a side note... my car is not slammed... it looks stock... but its actually about an inch lower... and it was done right.. none of the chopped springs or extra bouncyness...
Shrep
10/03/2003, 08:31 AM
the extra bounce usually comes from replacing or cutting the springs, without replacing the struts...
wannabfast
10/03/2003, 10:12 AM
hey i didnt replace my struts.. its all about the spring rates... i knew that the gc coilovers are overly bouncy... so i just got sport springs.. my shocks still are good.. after about a year of abuse...
Shrep
10/03/2003, 10:14 AM
i mean if your struts are worn, dood. your civic is too new to have a problem. controlling the "bouncy" is what a strut is supposed to do, so as long as they are fine, you won't have a problem. :D
wannabfast
10/03/2003, 03:32 PM
hahha actually my friend has a 02 civic which is newer than mine.. and hes on ground control coilovers and stock shocks.. and its far bouncier than my car is...
Shrep
10/03/2003, 03:35 PM
that's strange, i'm not saying your wrong, but it shouldnt be that way...not if his shocks are any good...but oh well. :D
mnskateboarder--what kind of wires ya got there?

Well, if he's got it lowered with the ground controls and stock struts, then the struts are probably going bad, hence the bounciness. Stock struts are not made to be lowered and usually go bad faster than normal.

if some of you ever go to Owatonna, tell Bob to point out the little civic hatchback... The fucker cut his springs so it bounces like a homo...
Plus he must not know that there are things called CAMBER KITS YOU DAMN FOOL, LOOK AT YOUR WHEELS, THEY FUCKING SIDEWAYS!!!!
ok, i'm done now........
(I just don't like idiots)
 yeah a period here and there wouldnt hurt a bit. thanks

well the more coils the better spring rate for driving...
coilovers have the same amount of coils if you have your car all the way up or all teh way down...

hey mnskateboarder, Just wondering do you still have the stock ecu in? or do you have the klze ecu or like a chip cause if you don't, you are still missing some decent top end power, anything from about 5-10 horse would be an accurate claim, I could say more but that might be pushing it. There are a few ways to do it if your chip is still stock, somebody on pt makes a custom burned chip thats somethin like 100-150 bux that you put in or for about the same price you can buy this vris controller thing that you just wire into the stock ecu, the main reason I bring this up is the vaf. Supposedly the vaf on our stock kl03 engine is different from whats on the klze and I've heard that the je-50 vaf from the v-6 mazda mx3 is the right one, something like that anyway it is supposed to be good or make some sort of difference if you have a klze. Well I picked one up from a junkyard a while ago just for the hell of it and I was wondering if you would want to try it out and see if it makes the car run any better or different. If it doesn't do anything then I will probly find a way to get rid of it but it is worth trying I think so let me know and I can at least bring it with tomorrow

i have the stock ecu in. im pretty low on money right now to buy any chips, which all i know is of the mike seli chip and noahfx's chip from probetalk.com, but i dont think either of them sell them anymore. and i have no money anyway:( . but yeah id give that vaf a try, its worth a shot and see if it does anything.
yeah i'am broke myself it sucks having no cash.

10/10/2003, 04:10 PM
alright, yeah you got those 2, seli stopped selling the chip and I think someone else is selling this thing called vris tuner, you just wire it in and set the rpms you want for it but you'll figure something out and thats only if you want to but I'll bring the je50
