I'm getting some of my money back from Uncle Scam and I'm debating on how to use it...

#1 I NEED brakes... so I'm planning on getting some cross drilled rotors and HKS pads, or somthing like
#2 J-Spec cams. I've heard good things from them, like guearanteed 10whp
#3 this is where i'm sketchy... do I spend ~$200 on J-Spec pistons? or do i spend the ~$100 on the cheap-o headers from SSAutochrome on E-bay and buy a CAI? I can prolly make a UBC CAI el-cheapo with some help...

what do you guys think?

Christian...if you buy the pistons...you are going to need a lot more stuff just to put the motor back together...usually a couple hundred worth.

That said...Cams, and this! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=2459468110)

That aught'a do...

that turbo looks like it might be a bear to spool, i'd suggest finding a first gen eclipse/talon in the junkyard, snatching the turbo from that, and then just rebuild it.

on that note too, how much does a refil usually cost? i was thinking about putting my car on the happy juice after i invest in a turbo.

best deal you will find for a 10lb bottle re-fill is usually about 40 bux. But I guarantee you can find places charging more than that. The place I used was in apple valley, toll welding supplies, if anyone ever wants to know about it ask me I'll tell ya bout it and how to get there

MAS Racing on University in St. Paul refills for $30. Last time I was there was a year ago though so the price could have gone up.

Ok, I didn't think about the pistons being a bitch to work on...

Buying a turbo would be cool... but I'de need to relocate the battery, buy a fuel pump, and fix that damn oil leak... Plus that's a shit ton of work i don't know how to do...

most people have a hard time saving $10 per week and instead let the gov have it and get a big check at the end of the year.

I'm in school and if I have a extra $10 a week well it gets spent on bills and then I have to come up with the lump sum of money at the end of the year and that's not easy.
