Does anyone know where I can get J-spec cams cheaper then corksport.com??
ask mnskater if hes still got his engine.
uhh, spalt has a 4 cyl jay, i don't believe the cams out of a v6 will fit;)
oops, my bad. do this splat, buy nicks car, then get the cams off of MNskater. then sell your probe and use the money to buy awesome stuff for nick's car.

buuuut Scooter has a lot of good points too...
But Oli has an interior...
then KEEP oli and get scooter as a summer car while oli can stick to his 4x4!

if you read the thread...i believe that nick says that the interior comes with it...
still a summer car, scooter (weight reduction still good), a winter and a off road car, OLI!! what more do you need? who said anything about re installing the interior of scooter?

You could drop $2000 into scooter and still only be slightly faster than Oli. You could buy scooter, put a $15 gasket in the throttle body and be way faster than oli is now and next year put your tax return into oli and own all.
ha! Im havin a b*tch time getting my throttle body off to get my intake off. f*ckin hoses!

I sent Nick an e-mail... I don't know if he's sold it yet. I'de like to get it, but I'll have to talk it over with my "financial advisor"
The biggest problem is that I dont know how I'de get it to Austin, or where I'de put it. One of the new guys here "Kewlguy" went to school with me, he says his parents have a 3 car heated garage... which could be handy!!! There isn't enough room in my garage to do any work...
Nick, do you know what all is wrong with it?? besides the antifreeze problem?

The engine dosn't need to be rebuilt. It needs a tb or tb gasket.

Splat probably won't need a co-signer because of his loan history so I wouldn't be too worried about that. Also I dunno if Nick can just "cut" Splat a deal just because hes a loan officer, they have "rules" they need to follow. Plus it would probably be better for Splat to just borrow more $ from his current loan like he said depending on the interest rate.

I drove it home... I went REALLY well on the highway!!! As soon as we left Albert Lea the started running fine!!! And it didn't overheat once!!!
