i decided to read it. it was interesting but pretty much told me i dont need it because i change my oil every 3,000 miles. i'll probably start changing it at 5,000 when i feel the mobil 1 has gotten all the crap outta there at it can and my hla's dont tick anymore.

i change my oil every 2k miles and run a (non-consumer) oil w/higher detergents than m1 and my hla's still tick... don't count on your oil cleaning it up to the point that they won't tick @ all...
