I talked w/Bryan Pendleton last night and he is having me help w/the prodution of the adjustable cam gears! That means free gear for me! :D At least for a while anyway... I'm not sure if I get to keep it or not... I guess that I will find out...

so whats that? Is it like VTEC or something?

no, it's a manually adjusting gear so that you can control where the cam is when. for best performance it's best to adjust this w/a dyno...

vtec is different... see -> http://asia.vtec.net/spfeature/vtecimpl/vtec1.html

Cool, way to go! I thought that was already out there though? Guess not...

Too bad the GT's would need 4 of them, and even then I don't think it would quite work right.

Being adjustable, if you were to take the car on a road trip you could do the revberse - dial it back and get great mileage?

Anything adjustable is definitely cool!

yeah the GTs cam gears would not be easy to work with. Because one gear spins the other instead of using a belt to spin both. Also, I find it interesting that on most 4 bangers the cams spin the same direction, while on the KL-03, they spin in different directions.....

Thats weird. Mazda engineers, never know what to expect.

I don't really know a lot about other engines (I really only know about the KL-03) but, are all V style engines like this? I'm thinking they are.
