7800, firm
basically enough to pay off my ford credit loan. i can't take anything less

p.s. it needs new o2 sensors (finally figured out my power loss issue)
i''ll be installing them this weekend

Yes, a REAL Charger.

It's cheap transportation. Keep it. Drive it. Save up money and fix on your bike, and buy a house.

Or, sell it, drive your f150 full time, save up money, fix on your bike (rat it out baby!), and buy a house.

i rather like the new charger, in all black, i think its damn pimp. and with 350hp i wouldn't be complaining

Splat

they're pretty fair priced too...

$22,000

They would look pretty pimp in black, lowered with dark tint!

Err, I smell a potential hijack... I'm going w/a 440 to start with unless I need to rebuild it. Either way, the eventual engine will (probably) be a 496-505ci RB.

The new "Charger" is a pretty kick ass 4-door but it is NOT a Charger. By any other name... on Dodge for doing that. Not quite as bad as what they pulled in the 80's but still.

i feel the same way, its a really nice car, the cylinder deactivation setup is top notch, and the slip control is amazing, but like you said, they shouldn't have named it a charger.

I say that you should sell it... no dis respect but my probe se with some bolt ons and some secret internal work can walk all over a SVT focus and im pretty sure that it had an underdrive pully set up on it!

no im seriously not a talker! and if you knew me you would know that... i have gone deeper into that and i now know that the SVT was running 195+ horsepower and my car runs 115 stock, but that was the manufactures rating so i say that with my chip, CAI and cat-bak exhaust i should only be running 160 and im not trying to affend anyone at all, so you all can talk to the owner, he's name is sean and he works at the block buster in forest lake! i have a friend with a 5-speed probe that just beats me still so i think that once i get enough money that all you guys with your gt's better watch out! :D but for now you can keep your bragging rights!!! :bd: :bd: :bd:

cat back MEBBY 10bhp (that's generous)
so the chips makes a magic 45 bhp?

hold on, you drive an automatic, probe SE? I mean no disrespect, ive ridden in fleas focus and without having even seen your car, i have no doubt he would take you in his non SVT foci. splat is right, 60 HP off a CAI, exhaust, and what could only be the IAT mod for this "chip" your referring to, is just too hard to believe man...

yeah, headers will help.

plus it'll sound BAD ASS!!! I put headers on my base and it was great. The butt dyno showed an improvement.

But still, i doubt you're pull the same as a stock GT.

We're not hating, we're setting you straight. ;)

Hope to see you down at the meet! should be a good time. I'll hopfully have the vette running in time for the meet.

SVT Focus is one of the best small cars ever made. Some of you will disagree with me, but there are some bic differences in build quality and reliablity. I understand that they handle EXTREMELY WELL. A 6-Speed is nice. PLUS THEY ARE HAND BUILT!

I agree, they basically replaced our probes with the focus and i would rather have a probe over one of those things any day! i know that they tryed to feed the younger, tuner crowd towards them with the SVT model and if you ask me... they're just a car that my grandma would drive! :barf:

The only car that could be considered a replacement for the probe is the mercury cougar. The focus is not even close.

i know that the cougar can be considered the third gen of the probes but if you think of it as the ford focus being the only sports compact in fords line (other then the mustang which is concidared a sports car) after the probe was cancelled on march 17th 1998 (witch i may add is my birthday).

you sir, give way too much credit to the svt focus, 195+hp? are you crazy? try 170hp, and 155tq, its a dog in the quarter, you have to shift too damn much, granted it'll outhandle a corvette in the slalom, it doesn't make up for tha lack of go go go. i ran at the rock with my car hitting 15.7-15.9 and there was an svt hitting somewhere in the 16's, now by all means my car isn't fast, but i've got a few things done, i smell an illegal street race!!! name the place :D and not to pull out the haterade, but i'm kinda lacking the belief that you stomped an svt. just my 2 cents

escort, focus, uhm, cougar, contour, yea, sport compacts

(the mustang is not just considered a sports car, it IS a sports car more like a muscle car bud!)

Splat
07/19/2005, 06:50 PM
I dont think it would considered a muscle car.

I know they don't consider the c3 corvette a muscle car. and that was 68-82, the "muscle" era didn't start until around '65 with the birth of the GTO. The C2 corvette brought the 427 small block, and even a 396 and 454 big block in the stingray.
But they were still sportscars. Just like the Mustang.

Fords Musclecars included the Torino, Couger ect
Chevy's included the Chevelle, Impalla, Camaro, ect
Mopar had the charger, challenger, and the Cuda (drools)

The Mustang is more of a muscle car then the corvette, but many consider it more of a "sportscar" rather then a muscle car. It did outsell damn near everything though.

flea
07/19/2005, 08:08 PM
i consider the mustang a musclecar, it started as a musclecar at its birth, and even though it went through some ugly fases and gas crunching times, its back to its original glory, unlike the GTO, which is a rwd grand prix with a big motor. i consider my friends 94 z28 a muscle car, hell, anything with rwd, a big motor, and 2 doors (minus certain caddilac's that were yikes for slow) i consider a muscle car.
