Ok, I just bought my klze from ebay and should be getting it in a week or two. My mechanical skills are probably at 6 or 7 out of 10. For anyone who has done a swap, Please let me know if there is anything I should know or think about while doing the swap. Any advice will be appreciated.

Aaron, mazdapower on here, just did this swap, he should be able to answer most all of your questions i would assume.

Make sure you prime the engine by letting it turn over a few times with the injectors and the ignition unpluged. This way you can oil the engine up. It's probably been sitting a year or two. Other than that it's a pretty direct swap, just watch the brake booster and make sure you have all your vacuum line connections correct before you drop the engine in (NO EGR CHANGES EVERYTHING).

Question for Aaron or whoever. My ZE has arrived and looks to be in pretty good condition. One thing I'm kind of noticing though that might be a concern. The distributor on my kl03 engine looks like it has the crank position sensor in it but the one on the ze does not have the same hookups, will I be able to just swap out the distributor from the 03 into the ze or am I going to have compatibility issues. If I remember reading it correctly, the 93's had the CPS sensor in the dist. and not by the pulley as it is in all other years. The engine that is in there now is a off a 94 mx6, but I remember that when I bought it, He had just put a new one in. I'm assuming that I'm going to have to just take the old dist. 0ff the 03 and put on the ze becasue my car (93) is wired that way. Let me know If I seem right or wrong.
I should be getting the ss autochrome headers and clutch in next week. UD pulley is going to be installed soon too.

This sounds a lot like my car... What year is your car? Try and use the distributor that's from your car. Unless of course you want to use a aftermarket ignition...

I have a 93 GT but it has a 94 mx6 in there now. What year is yours and did you have the same issue? To be honest I hope that I'm not too far over my head. I've got the patience (for now), but the funds and know how might be my biggest obstacles.
Anyways, the tear out of the old one should start this week. Also on the aftermarket ignition idea, how much would that run me if I go that route and what's the degree of difficulty in doing that(if you know)?

Ooh! Looks like you might have solved my belt issue too. Is that the MBX UD pulley or the Unorthodox? I guess they're supposed to be replicas but the MBX one I got says to use gates belts. Did the napa ones you have here at your picture link http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v303/Techno_Craft/11.jpg work?
