I have been talking to a few fellow kl owners and have figured it out!!! the czt kit is the rods off of the 4.6 mustang (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33623&item=7986393668), and we are working on making a custom millenia S piston from Wiseco that will fit the rods.
I will have that part number out once the custom piston is made! :D
The whole setup should be less than $1000 if the pistons dont cost more than $600

so the 4.6L rods are "bolt up" replacement's for the KL03 rods ?

no, we are currently talking to wiseco, and other companies for custom pistons that will make this a forged set that fits for less than 1k!

thats not what he asked. he was wondering if you can take the 4.6L rod and just bolt it to the kl crank and make it work. thats what he was wondering.

no, we can use oversized crank Mustang crank bearings and it ends up needing the crank to be shaved 1/1000th. a good polishing while having the crank balanced will do about that much. as far as the piston end of things go, the pistons are custom made from wiseco. but if you look at the millenia pistons on the wiseco website, they are listed as custom anyways so there should not be a problem.

you can also use 347 stroker rods They are 5.4" long vs. 5.426" of the stock KL. The wrist pin is a lot larger, measuring .912" vs. .787" of the KL.
You should be able to use .040" oversize ford bearings for a 302, but it may not measure out right. might have to grind under to use .050" or .060" ford bearings.

another thing to think about for you guys who want to go big nitrous with a build. 9.5:1 compression ratio
331 stroker rods and 300zx TT pistons (http://www.performanceprobe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11124)
GREAT READ!
I hope all this info helped guys
I'll keep you guys updated on the forged setup. :smokin:
