Im looking into selling my car. Its a 94 Probe GT, 5-speed, Rio Red, PRM intake, test pipe, Custom white mesh grill in the front and back, Front end sway bar, pioneer deh-6600(the ones with the graphics, pioneer deq-9300 equalizer ($500 dollar eq), clarion amp, 12" Pioneer Premier sub in box, everything has been flushed including motor, tranny, and radiator, sunroof, very clean, with 97,000 miles. I was wondering what do you guys think i could get for the car? the max and the min?????????
Looking into getting something with a turbo that wont be such a hassle, maybe a talon tsi or a grand prix turbo.

I want to stay in the probe community but i want something faster. I need the cash also. The talon was just a thought. Im looking into buying a first gen turbo though.

the talon/eclipse would cost you far more in the long run... i mean, if you get 8 for your car a talon/eclipse is still gonna cost ya 10 or 11 unless you are talking 1st gen...
faster, i can see... what i plan on doing is keep the probe and get an old charger. i'm thinking 68 charger r/t w/a 440 or 426 hemi... now that would kick ass (my ultimate dream car is a 426 powered 68 w/a 4 speed) :D

Thats really nice but a lot of wrench time and money into that car. Also i just want something as an everyday driver right now. Im going to wait in the summer to look for a new ride.

The first gen DSMs are still quite spendy.

Why don't you just FI your current probe? Buy a KL-03 crate motor, or low miles from a salvage yard... Go on PT and find a good shop somewhere, send they the motor and let them tweak it out perfect with a nice big hairdryer on it and some new pistons, header, etc., etc,. When its done, all you'd have to do is drive out there for a day, and have them drop it in! Might take a couple of months, but you'd still have your car to drive while you wait.
That's how I'm planning on doing it.

I think that's how everyone plans to do it. :) Making it happen is a different story.

You can, you just have to realize that the things you think you want are not the things you really want. And, the things you really want are free.
Nothing you can buy will ever make you happy.

Heh, you just have to get a little older, the salary just keeps going up. Besides, you probably can imagine that no matter what you make, it's never going to be quite enough anyway.
94 PGT, about 100,000 miles, driven by a young male, 8 years of Minnesota salt on it, and that's been altered from stock... well, to an enthusiast that had your same tastes, maybe $6500. Anyone else, I wouldn't hold out for much more than about $5000. I hope you can get more, but I doubt it.
I sold my 93 about 6 months ago, it had just a few more miles, and a lot more money sunk into mods and stereo than what you're showing. I'm sure that it was at least as clean as yours. I got $5500 for it, and felt lucky. The friend I sold it to knew it was nice and wanted it.
Faster, but for about the same price? Heh, good luck. You can find something faster, but it will probably be older and have more mileage on it. "Something with a tubo that won't be such a hassle"? Likely to be more of a hassle.
If you want reliability, get a 95 or so Civic, Sentra, or Corolla. If you want faster, save up your money this winter and do it right next summer, expect to spend at least 10 grand though I'd say.
Just some thoughts, sorry if it sounds like a downer. Good Luck.

Exactly....you can't expect a car to have everything and a good price....

I know what kind of car you should get. Its really sporty, but still has lotsa cargo space. The engine is smooth, and reliable, and also has a lot of potential - if you're patient and creative you can get 300hp out of them. Even stock, it is faster than most cars out there. It's called a PROBE GT You should check one out...;)
