Is that an elbow or a downpipe?

I've never seen a downpipe with that many holes, so I'm assuming its the tb to vaf elbow. If it is, then I'd say yer better off getting something else. I don't think a filter sitting right in the hot engine bay would be good for perf.

I'm gonna cut my hotshot a little shorter, so its not as exposed.

im wondering what the hell that is myself. they may be confusing the vaf with the maf or something....they called the I4 a V4

im guessing it works like the prm, but find out. what type of filter is that?

Looks like a hot air intake. Not too great. If you have the means, I'd suggest a home depot style one. I want a new plastic downpipe.

uhh, looks like crap to me.

That pipe is clearly no the elbow from the VAF to the throttle body, it's way too long. Besides, the litle connections sticking out stay on the filter side of the VAF stock anyway. You'll only use the smallest one on the GT, the rest will get plugged up somehow and look funny.

To me there's no question the short side of the pipe connects to the VAF and the other part hangs down. The vinyl hose connects the pipe to the VAF, the filter has it's own little rubber connection built in. There should be three hose clamps not two. And that plate with the square opening is for an I4 not a V6. So it looks like you get some useless stuff and are missing a hose clamp to boot. :barf: The filter would be part way down, so it wouldn't be getting too hot of air in it, but not quite as good as a longer pipe either.

It looks like a K&N, they pretty much make them for everybody. Some mini-manufacturer like this could buy them in bulk for probably $20 each. It's a lot cheaper than them making their own.

I'd save the money and apply it towards a proven intake.

go for a complete hotshot intake, it looks good, sounds good, and the best thing about it, it is COLD AIR! plus you can get it ceramic coated...

I was never going to buy it... I just wanted to see what everyone thought of it. Kind of a "heads up" post.
