Default Electrical/dash lighting help?

So we were trying to read the codes off my 94 MX6 yesterday, and insteasd of jumping the ground and three pins, I missed by one pin and hit the 4 pin (the top right corner). It sparked a little, and the CEL went off. I tried the three pin, and it wouldnt read.

Turns out that shorted out everything in the dash. I have no tach, no speedometer/odometer, no cruise, no rear defrost, no fogs, no temp gauge, and Im assuming the fuel gauge isnt working either (it reads 3/4 full as it did yesterday). The backlighting in the gauge cluster works though, along with the turn signals, the HVAC and the CD player.

What Im wondering is if someone can tell me if there is a fuse that controls all of these? If so, which one is it?

I have no fusebox cover and cant find my Chilton's, so I dont know if there is or not. Id assume there is a fuse if a simple mixup like this could cause such damage.

I'm hoping I didnt fry all the circuitry and have to replace it.

can't you just pull out all the fuses one by one and check if they're blown by looking at them?

get a test light and hook it to a ground. test every fuse in the panel and the fuses under the hood. with the key on, you should see power running through all of the fuses. when you come across a fuse that doesn't light up on the test light pull it out and examine it.

does the car start and turn on fine?

i would imagine your probably popped some capacitors and diodes in the cluster but as far as everything else not working is a mystery to me, probably a fuse as you stated.

Dave he knows more about probes than you will ever so please don't tell him how to use a test light as an idiot, yourself, can figure out how to use a test light. All of your dumbass questions and trying to make him look stupid could have been avoided by the edit feature and edit your statement to this:

I guess some part of having a higher than 60 point IQ is nessary to use the edit feature. Seriously think before you post. Think how much mechanical experience does this person have? Does this person know more that me? Am I fucking stupid for posting this? Do I look like a dumbass because of what I posted?

In all cases the answer is yes!!!!!!! Thanks Dave for making this easy.

Found on Mike 94GT home page. source http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mx6-uk/malf/malfcode.htm

Notice in the above drawing that the TEN pin is located right next to the B+ pin... If you screw up and connect the B+ pin to the GND pin, you'll cause a short circuit when the ignition is switched on. You'll probably notice that the instrument cluster gauges don't work any more, along with other systems of the car. If you've done this, check the METER fuse in the fuse panel inside the car. Once you've replaced it, your gauges should operate as normal.

Thanks for ther help. I went home Friday night and grabbed 2 fusebox covers and figured it out on my own It did end up being the metrer fuse on the inner fusebox.

Yes, I could have wasted a half hour doing so. Thats what I was trying to avoid though by posting this. Was hoping it wasnt something like a relay that I couldnt pull and look at to see if it was blown.
